REFUSAL CASE - VISA TO UK
THE DECISION - MALITHI’S FAMILY
THE DECISION - MALITHI’S FAMILY
·
In section 5.1, 5.2, 5.4 and 5.10 of
your Visa Application Form (VAF) you state that you are a self- employed
Beautician and Business women since 01/06/2007 with a monthly income of LKA
125,000.00 Rupees (£710.23, using Sri Lanka 176.00 rupees to £1.00) I
acknowledge you have submitted your certificate of Registration of an
Individual Business No. K K 7407, but you have failed, however, to submit any
evidence to claimed monthly income. I would have expected to see receipts etc.
from your beautician and grocery business.
·
You have submitted little evidence of financial
circumstances in Sri Lanka. You have submitted your fixed deposit of LKR
555,000.00 Rupees (£3,125.00) with the Bank of Ceylon. But no other evidence
such as bank statement with respect to your business or personal financial
circumstances. Furthermore, I note that your parents, who are resident in the
UK, send you LKR 50,000.00 Rupees (£284.00) on a monthly basis, which suggest
you are unable to support yourself and your grandfather, with whom you live,
from you claimed monthly income. I am not satisfied that your circumstances in
Sri Lanka are as such to encourage your prompt departure from UK after your
one-month visit.
·
I note your parents
are resident in UK together with your brother. I’m also aware that your younger
sister is studying in UK, together with her Husband who is her dependent
partner. Give your family history of migration from Sri Lanka to the United
Kingdom I am not satisfied that your intention for visiting the UK are as
stated by you on your visa application form
In
view of the above circumstances and on the balance of probabilities, I am not
satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited
period not exceeding 6 months or that you intend to leave the United Kingdom at
the end of the visit as required by paragraph 41 (i) and (ii) of HC 395.
